The Property Valuation Administrator (PVA) needs to know how the values of real estate are determined. This info is needed when you sell or buy a home. Your PVA needs to know how much property is worth for fair assessments.

As a longtime member of our community, I am excited to announce my candidacy for Franklin County Property Valuation Administrator (PVA). The retirement of our previous Franklin County PVA prompted me to run for this office. I firmly believe that my background uniquely qualifies me to lead the PVA office and implement much-needed improvements. I support SB23 that would freeze tax assessments for seniors 65 and over.

One of my primary objectives as PVA is to update and validate our records that also applies to the PVA website. In order to have fair and accurate assessments I believe it is important for information in the PVA database to be as accurate as possible. Through the years I have noticed omissions and inaccuracies on many properties including square footage that is rarely if ever corrected which affects property valuation. My goal is to identify the discrepancies and take measure to correct. If not, the result is unfair tax bills for residents.

My background in real estate valuations both in state government and locally more than qualifies me for this job. From my role in the Finance Cabinet over real estate valuations of state government buildings to my experience in property management and real estate brokerage. I have honed the skills necessary to excel in this position.

I’ve had the privilege of working closely with our PVA office throughout my years as a real estate broker. I have invaluable insights into real property valuations and assessments, and the challenges faced by those relying on PVA records that may not be entirely accurate. My goal is to leverage my vast experience to ensure fair and accurate property valuations for all Franklin Countians.

With my past experience and knowledge, I am well-equipped to navigate challenges and implement solutions that best serve your needs. My educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Economics from Kentucky State University, as well as a master's degree in Public Affairs.

Don’t forget! The primary election on May 21st will determine the next Franklin County PVA as there is no Republican challenger in the general election. In other words, this primary election is of utmost importance.

With your support, I am confident that we can bring about positive change for Franklin County. I hope you will consider investing in my campaign with a financial contribution. Your generosity will enable my team to reach more voters more quickly, and share our vision for a fair and transparent PVA office.

i am asking for your vote and I look forward to the opportunity to serve as your next Franklin County PVA. If you have any questions or would like to get involved in our campaign, please do not hesitate to contact me at (502) 695-4571
